GM Safety Recall on 27 Thousand SUVs Including the Hybrids

GM is recalling the 2009 Escalade, Tahoe, Yukon, Avalanche, Colorado, and Canyon, including the hybrids, for an issue in the fuel system control modules. Water can get in through an 'adhesive separation' which could lead to a stall.

If water does get in, GM says it could cause a short or open circuit, illumination of the service engine soon lamp, setting of diagnostic trouble codes or the engine may be hard to start, may not start or may stall increasing the risk of a crash.
